We are merely caretakers of our land, and therefore it is upon us to preserve it for the future and the next generation(s)

We actively work to protect, enhance and conserve the wildlife on the land we care for. We believe that if we look after the wildlife, they will look after us!

Working closely with Natural England, we have tailored areas of our land directly at farmland birds, insects and mammals under a Countryside Stewardship programme. We provide havens and hunting grounds for wildlife in the form of nectar rich flower plots and mixed winter bird food lays. We have also taken select areas of our arable land out of production to protect watercourses as well as managing almost 22,000 meter of hedgerow in order to provide secure nesting and forage for our feathered friends.

The most cherished pollinators on the farm are our honey bees, 1,020,000 to be exact! These bees are our friends, pollinating our crops and feeding from our special specie rich flower plots. For us at Oak Park Dairy, working in parallel with farmland wildlife is hugely important, whatever their size.
